Yoga is good for the mind, body and soul...

and recovery and yoga are a natural fit.

Recovery-Infused Yoga Community Center is a place where anyone that has experienced trauma can work through and release the past through action that supports present living. The purpose is for the Center to be open to all of those who wish to heal; Recovery-Infused Yoga believes in community that heals. “Recovery” isn't just treatment for one ailment. It’s a lifestyle, a change of mindset and habits that supports a healthy approach to the world and our struggles as human beings. Yoga treats the whole person, mind, body and soul, to help support recovering people on this journey. Yoga gives us everything: exercise, mindfulness, community, serenity. The exercise helps us get stronger, tunes our mind, and detoxifies our bodies. The mindfulness keeps us planted firmly in the present, mindful of the fact that whatever we face, we’re here – and we’re okay. Community places us around like-minded humans dedicated to self- improvement and to helping others. Serenity is peace: our reward for the work we do, a contented knowledge that we are beautiful just as we are, and that the world is okay just as it is. We feel the Seven Axioms of Yoga sum up its benefits: 1. You are exactly where you are supposed to be 2. Fear and pain are life's greatest teachers 3. Laughter and play are the fountains of youth 4. Exercise and rest are the keys to vibrant health 5. Touch and intimacy are basic human needs 6. Everything is impermanent 7. Everything is connected
